Grey Currawong Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Similar to Raven but has white on it's body and a distinctive call.
Grey Shrike Thrush Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Beautiful songster. Love mince meat. More seen in bush than open paddocks.
Hooded Dotterel (Plover) Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Usually a pair can be seen on the beach below Coast Cottage.
King Parrot Uncommon | Season: All Year Remarks: Beautiful birds. There are quite a lot in Marengo that are fed regularly but don't come here nearly as much.
Lesser Golden Rare Plover Rare | Season: Summer Remarks: One sighting only on beach, probably flown off course but stayed for a few days.
Martins Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Fairy and Tree Martins. Stubbier than Swallows.
Mudlarks Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Quite a lot around. Look for their nest made of mud.
Galah Common | Season: Late All Year Remarks: Lots in Marengo and Apollo Bay but thankfully not as many here as they chase smaller birds away.
Gannet Common | Season: All year Remarks: Often seen flying out to sea.
Golden-headed Cisticola Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Seen in bushes in fence line in front of property
Grebe Uncommon | Season: All Year Remarks: Occasional sighting of Hoary Headed but more of Little Grebe (Australasian).
Grey Fantail Common | Season: All Year Remarks: mall active friendly little bird. Seen more in bush than open paddock.
Grey Goshawk Uncommon | Season: April - June Remarks: One seems to return every year to nest in bush. Is pure white with a red eye.
Heron - white faced Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Often seen on land and beaches.
Ibis - Straw / Sacred Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Both Straw Neck and Sacred occasionally seen in either paddocks or flying.
Laughing Kookaburra Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Often perch on rooftops or posts.
Little Wattlebird Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Lots in Marengo but not many here and usually seen near the Great Ocean Road.
Mistletoe Bird Uncommon | Season: All Year Remarks: Though there is quite a lot of mistletoe on the trees here, have only sighted this pretty little bird twice.
Nankeen Kestral Common | Season: All Year Remarks: Quite a lot around. Smaller than the Black Shouldered Kite and red-brown in colour.
